Imagine being able to rap. Having the power to create an entire song with just you, some writing tool(s), and a good instrumental. Now toss out whatever you’re writing with and imagine being able to freestyle. Show stopping, jaw dropping bars coming off the top of your head with ease, matched with the tightest flows any elite rapper could muster. Pretty neat, right? Now imagine being able to do that for 10 hours. I know, not easy.
Well...except for this guy.
Harry Mack is a once in a generation type of talent that you must watch. Best known for his appearances on Power 106 Los Angeles where he’s rapped for the biggest MCs in the game (Kendrick Lamar and Joey Bada$$), Mack is a special artist to keep an eye on.
His exhilarating skills when constructing lyrics is scary. The way he can give fans one flow, and then ten seconds later switch into one of the many others he has perfected instantaneously is riveting. Add that all up with the fact that he can adjust his cadence at the drop of the dime to work a rhyme, and you get one of the best MCs you’ll ever witness. And get this, he manages to do all this just by freestyling.
Mack is a demigod on the mic. On his YouTube channel, there are playlists of videos where many can find the freestyling MC rapping to strangers he’s just connected to. Guerrilla Bars, a video series on his channel, features him going on the streets of California and requesting strangers to give him a total of three random words to rap about. From there, the magic begins.
Amazing on beats, using everything he knows when freestyling to not just rhyme the words he’s given, but also create an entire scheme for fans to marvel at when listening. He’s also very aware, taking topics from conversations he’s had with the stranger or their physical appearance. Making a quick bar that’s always guaranteed to get a reaction.
Pandemic restrictions haven't stopped Mack from delivering his unique rhymes either. Nowadays he’s been known to hop on Omegle and lay a sick verse for people he gets set up with. Birthing a new series known as Omegle Bars. This has led to some of the most insane schemes, flow changes, and lyricism known to mankind being put on display.
All of this has paid off for the freestyle king, amassing a huge following over recent months and recently reaching the 1 million sub count on YouTube. To celebrate this achievement, Mack live streamed himself freestyling...FOR 10 HOURS STRAIGHT! An unbelievable feat that he has done before on both minor and major scales.
Besides YouTube success, Mack also has received support for his music on other streaming platforms such as Spotify and SoundCloud. He currently has his debut album from 2019, Contents Under Pressure, ready for listeners to digest, along with several other singles he has released over the years. It doesn’t have the same zest that comes with Guerrilla Bars or Omegle Bars, with no live reaction of the stranger flipping out to experiencing Mack’s talent for the first time. But if you’re a Hip Hop fan, the quality of music Mack provides in his discography is irrefutably good.
He may not be a Potter, but Harry’s a wizard nonetheless.
