Artist of the Week: Eli Aura

New week. New music. New artist.

This week’s artist of the week goes to the one and only, Eli Aura. Aura is an outstanding up and coming artist to keep your eyes on. His beautiful vocals are must hear, meshing with the instrumentals he’s paired with so perfectly. Then there’s his ever improving lyricism, being able to bring listeners on a unique journey through as he flows on beats. His flow and delivery are key components to a bright future in this industry.

As an artist, Aura gives fans a range that they have grown accustomed to in this era of music. Singles like Is This a Party? show us that he can rely on his MC skills while Purple Clouds flex his R&B side, highlighting the beauty of his voice.

This type of formula has reaped some promising results with some of Aura’s previous songs finding success. His most listened to single, NO LOVE IN THE AIR, amassed over 144k thousand streams on SoundCloud. Other songs like RED LIGHT DISTRICT and WEST SIDE don’t share the same accolade, but the budding attention they have received (12.5k & 12k) can be seen as harbingers for what is to come for the Gaithersburg native artist.

Beyond his vocal skills, Aura is also becoming a better producer. Since leaving his old group Act Natural, Aura has been more proactive in his career. One aspect of this has been donning a producer cap and improving on that end. This new dynamic allows for better crafted tracks that are better at enhancing his abilities on the mic. Better developing the Eli Aura sound.

And, oh boy, did it develop!

Aura recently released his new project, Aura The Album, on all platforms last Friday. The album altogether presents a cohesive sound through its dark instrumentals and melodic lyrics. Songs like SPIRIT REALM and PHENOM (HUMANITY) are particular stand outs, perfectly embodying the core of both the message and sound of the album as Aura explores his relationship with himself, and how that relates with his interaction with the rest of the world.

But hey, you don’t have to believe me. You can find out for yourself by streaming to Eli Aura’ 13 track project right now.
